Its hard to believe the Material Girl is going to be 50 tomorrow. I remember seeing her live in Philadelphia at Live Aid in 1985, just days before my 19th birthday. Bette Midler introduced her as the woman who pulled herself up by her bra straps and has been known to let them down occasionally. Well, those bra straps have been up and down a few times but she has given the world an incredible ride.

As she embarks on her new tour she is as popular as ever. And continues to reinvent herself. I hope she keeps on expressing for a long time and never makes another movie.
