G’Day! I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while. It was great getting back to Renfrew and Senators clinched their series with Buffalo. I’m really not a Senators fan. When I was a kid there was no team in Ottawa – we were Habs fans! But it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement in the city and head up to Parliament Hill to take in all the energy of a normally sleepy city that hasn’t held Lord Stanley’s Cup since 1927.
While it was nice to visit for a while, I don’t have the same affection for Ottawa I used to. It didn’t feel like the same city that I loved living in – except for the ice cold winters and blistering hot summers. And, well, it did rain my full day there – the one I had expected to spend with friends outside. I can get that in Vancouver. The whole time I was there I had the Madonna song, This Used To Be My Playground stuck in my head. That and BNL’s Its All Been Done Before.
Thanks WestJet!
In the last year I have flown countless times, on Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, United, United For Ted, Quantas and WestJet. Out of all of them, WestJet has to be my fave. Anytime I fly them there is never a queue at their counter, the staff is always extremely friendly, they are always on time and they just provide a great experience. I’ve even learned some new jokes from them. What do you call a cow in high heels? A dairy queen. How do you know your date with a pilot is half over? He says, that’s enough about airplanes lets talk about me.
That’s why I’m not just a WestJet customer, I’m a WestJet owner.
